TRUSTEE BOARD MEMBERS
Unpaid Position (out of pocket expenses reimbursed)
The Bureau is looking for Trustees who have one or more of the following skills or experience:
- Management within a medium sized organisation
- Relevant experience in the not-for-profit/public/commercial sector
- HR issues
- Financial management
- Legal Issues
- Advice/Social Policy/Campaigning
- Building networks and alliances, partnership working or project development
- Fundraising
The Board meets formally four times per year and other involvement, eg sub-committees and preparatory work, is anticipated. The position is unpaid but is an excellent opportunity to support the local community and contribute to a well respected and vital service. We also are looking for a new Chair of the Board of Trustees to guide our highly motivated organisation in achieving its mission and to ensure it is effectively managed. The new Chair must have strategic vision, independent judgement, an ability to think creatively, have a passion for high quality service delivery in the not-for-profit sector and be able to motivate a team. The new Chair would take up this role in September 2010.
