PHP Money Advice Caseworker

Salary Scale 20: £19,819 (pro rata)

15 hours per week

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays per annum (pro rata)

Citizens Advice Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are currently recruiting a Money Advice Caseworker. Their role will be to provide debt advice to clients referred by the Poole Housing Partnership.

The post holder will need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of debt advice, income maximisation and personal budgeting, coupled with good communication and organisational skills. The post holder must be either DRO qualified, or meet the requirements to become a DRO.

The successful applicant will work for 2 days a week in Poole.

Marketing Officer

Citizens Advice Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is currently recruiting for an experienced Marketing Officer.

37 hours per week               

Salary £20,000 to £22,000 (per annum) – dependant on experience                            

Based across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole 

Role purpose:

The Marketing Officers role is to publicise the work of Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering and the work Citizens Advice does within the local community.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Liaising with external organisations in the promotion of Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole – this could be by giving a talk or speaking to the manager and leaving posters, leaflets etc.
  • Design, distribution and updating of promotional materials for the Core Service and specialist projects.
  • Writing press releases.
  • Developing links with the local media.
  • Writing, designing and collating Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole’s E-Blast.
  • Developing our website and keeping content lively and up to date.
  • Using social media including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Assisting the management team in managing and promoting publicity events.
  • Monitoring the success of events held.
  • Researching the viability of events e.g. in shopping centres or local events.
  • Assist in identifying possible sources of funding in the community such as local businesses, individuals or charitable trusts

In this role, you will deliver a specialist quality service to customers eligible for the pensions guidance service who have complex pension scenarios by supplying accurate, personalised, relevant information and guidance on their pensions options and choices.

Citizens Advice Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole are looking for a European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS) Caseworker to provide specialist advice, support and guidance to individuals and their families wishing to obtain UK immigration status before the end of the planned implementation period. You will report to the EUSS Project Co-ordinator. This project is funded by the Home Office.

The aim of the project is to provide practical support to vulnerable EU citizens through information giving, advice and provision of technology and assistance to help them make their EU Settlement Scheme applications.

You will have a proven record in advice and/or casework and an understanding of the EU Settlement Scheme Experience of working with one or more diverse communities is desired.
