Outreach Worker

Citizens Advice Bournemouth and Citizens Advice Poole will be merging as an organisation as of the 1st October 2017 and one of the aims of the new organisation is to provide more face-to-face services within key communities across the conurbation.

As a result Citizens Advice Bournemouth is currently recruiting an outreach worker to cover the conurbation of Bournemouth and Poole.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £19,430 – £20,661

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays per annum

Contract Type: Fixed for 12 months

Role purpose:

The successful candidate will deliver a face-to-face outreach service to clients within the community of the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation. Assessing client’s problems and moving the client forward accordingly.

This is a post that requires an individual who is self motivated and able to work at an outreach site with remote supervision and support whilst delivering the service. Two of the outreaches are new locations so there will be a need to promote and raise awareness of the service.

You will have advice and guidance experience, ideally in a Citizens Advice or similar environment. You must be an excellent communicator and able to work with a wide range of people. A flexible approach to working and the ability to prioritise your work are also essential.
